Dr. Lowell asked that we write a post about the SNS we chose.  I chose Twitter?  Why?  At first, I really didn’t have a particular reason.  Our school system blocks MySpace and Facebook and several others, so I knew I would not have ready access to these sites during the day had I chosen to join one of them.  Some other folks had mentioned Twitter, so I went over a took a look.  I find it interesting.  I don’t have to sit and read some long narrative about others….just a quick note that gives me a glimpse into their daily lives.  I think over time, Twitter will give me a more realistic glimpse of who folks are and what their lives are really like that I would get from some of the more common SNSs such as MySpace and Facebook.  So far, I have posted a number of times and read many other posts and all are most interesting.  The only real problem I’ve encountered is that I find it difficult to locate and add others to the list of folks I am following.  So if any of you who read this post are educators and would like to be followed, send me an email address and I’ll add you!
